Chain Writing Game 6 – Episode 16

Have you ever taken part in a writing chain?

Kerrie Salsac has created a novel writing challenge. Head over to her place to take a look.  You can see all the rules there too.

Here is my first submission for The Wall

Eliya handed a small metal and stone device to Jadir, “This will be your greatest weapon, but first, you have much to learn …” A loud explosion interrupted Eliya, shaking the ground where they stood. Jadir wobbled off-guard before stabilizing his stance.

“Do not worry,” Eliya answered his panicked stare, “it is the Adjani elders. Today is the first day of Hazjukel, did you not notice the position of the sun?”

“What? The position of the sun? I don’t understand.” Jadir proclaimed just as another thunderous rumble jolted them.

“You do not know of Hazjukel? Come, I must teach you.”

  1. Welcome to the chain writing game. I am glad you have joined us. Great continuation. I can’t wait to see what happens for this Hazjukel.

    • Oh thank you! I struggled with whether or not to add the Hazjukel, thinking it may be too much, but, I felt that whomever takes the next 100 words would let their imagination carry them away to whatever Hazujkel might be for them. I am so happy to have found this group! 😀

  2. Hey,
Welcome to the CWG! Thanks for joining us 😀
What on earth are they doing? Surely explosions will only encourage these prehistoric creatures to come get them!
Will be interesting to see what this Hazjukel 🙂

  3. Thanks for joining us this week! Sounds like either a holiday, or maybe the start of a great hunt. Either way, Hazjukel sounds like it’ll be interesting 😀

  4. Welcome to CWG. This is a great episode, you added something really interesting, and I plan to run with it. Thanks for adding your thoughts and ideas to the game.

  5. It would not be a real Chain Writing Game without the curves. You cann0ot possibly have this many writing styles without the variations,. It is part of what makes it so challenging. I think it grows our writing skill trying to make 100 words blend correctly. So glad to see a new name among the crowd. I hope you like the interaction and do not limit your creativity based on how you think we will react. Everyone here is game for ups and downs and roller coaster speeds. Welcome aboard.

    • Thank you for taking the time to reach out to welcome and reassure me that all who partake in this game are up for the challenges. I do feel welcome and look forward to being a ‘regular’! 😀

  6. Welcome and great continuation! I can’t wait to find out what the mysterious “Hazjukel” is 🙂
