Day Before TE Replacement Surgery

It’s getting late now, well, 6:35 p.m. and before I know it, in a few hours, I’ll be fast asleep.  When I wake up tomorrow, I MUST remember to not eat or drink anything, nor chew any gum.  This is going to be VERY DIFFICULT!

no_eating_signs_2I remember how torturous it seemed when I went in for the mastectomy.  People were just arriving for their morning shift, coffee smells were everywhere and I wanted one so terribly bad.  Thank God that my husband and son were courteous  enough to drink their coffee and eat their breakfast out of my site.  Tomorrow, my surgery is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.  That’s a long time to go without food or water, a very long time.  I must leave a note for myself on the counter similar to the little graphic here, “No Food or Drink Allowed”; because I am such a robot first thing in the morning, I can be halfway through my coffee before I even realize that I’m awake!
